Hello everyone and welcome to the latest edition of Mac's Message. It has been an exciting few weeks to be a Lakewood Lancer as our varsity team has continued to improve each week. Two weeks ago we managed to soundly defeat Cabrillo on the road and this past Friday night we had a great homecoming win against Jordan. It was a packed house at John Ford Stadium and parents, boosters and administration added to the fireworks on the field with a great fireworks show at halftime to make for an altogether great night.

Defensively Trevor Erno, Vincent Abbot, Shay Kelley and Aaron Aviles have excelled in recent weeks and offensively Jesse Scroggins, Alex Fletcher and Brian Diaz have continued to make our offense prolific. We have a huge game this week at home against Millikan about which we are very excited. Two important to be aware of relating to this week:

1. We will be having our annual rivalry dinner tomorrow night, Tuesday the 16th. It will begin at 6:00 and end around 7:00. It is a special dinner for all players in the program and transportation arrangements should be made accordingly.

2. For varsity parents, we have rescheduled picture night for this Friday night. Please be at the stadium by 5:30 to take pictures with your Lancer player.

I also want to take this time to recognize the outstanding efforts of our freshman and JV teams who are 7-0 and 6-1, respectively. Due to the hard work of these kids and coaches, the future of Lakewood football looks bright. Lastly, due to the bye next week, our next Booster meeting will not be until October 30th at 7:00 in Room 97.
