Coach Thomson graduated from Capistrano Valley High School in 1995. He played center and earned All-2nd Team South Coast League Honors and later was an offensive line coach at his alma mater for 2 years and at Los Alamitos High. He moved on to be a scout for UCLA as a student assistant during the 1999 Rose Bowl season. Coach thomson has a B.A. in HIstory and a Masters from Pepperdine University. Besides coaching at Lakewood High School, he teaches 8th graders. "My best memories are when former players write to me or the coaching staff telling us what a difference we made," says coach Thomson. He currently resides in Hermosa Beach.
