Head Coach Experience: 2 Years @ Lakewood One of the most successful head coaches in LHS history, Thadd Mac Neal has really put his stamp on Lakewood's beloved football team. After taking over in December of 2006, Mac Neal has been instrumental in upholding the winning tradition at Lakewood and making the Lancers one of Moore League's elite teams. During his tenure, "Coach Mac" and his staff orchestrated one of the prolific offenses in PAC-V Division football after guiding the Lancers to a 7-3 regular season record and a playoff birth during his first year as head coach. For the previous thirteen years, he was a highly successful assistant at his alma mater, Carlsbad High School in San Diego, as well as Orange, Capistrano Valley, and Los Alamitos High Schools. He was also an offensive coordinator in the Orange County North-South All-Star Game, Shrine All-Star Football Classic and completed training camp internships with the San Diego Chargers, UCLA Bruins, and USC Trojans. Mac Neal brought a wealth of coaching credentials with him to Lakewood, including a Division I CIF Championship, numerous league championships and playoff wins. He also coaches countless college and NFL-caliber players who he continues to be in close touch with today. |
